In the modern era the Tamil Buddhist Monks and Nuns are having Sangalpha to lead the light of The Enlightened one Lord Buddha for every human being in the world with the foot prints of ancient Tamil Buddhism. TAMILNADU BUDDHIST SANGA COUNCIL’S first Sanga council meeting was held at Mangala Buddha vihara at Pulichmpalli near Puducherry on 22.08.2021. All Bhikkus and Bikkhinis participated. SCHOLARS COUNCIL is part of TAMILNADU BUDDHIST SANGA COUCIL. The main aim of this scholars council is to focus on Buddhism research and Publications. This council members will be working towards spreading Buddhism and they are having capabilities to give sermons and conducting ritual at disciple’s home ceremonies’ based on Buddhist customs. This Council members will be called Dhamma achariya or Dhamma asiriyar (தம்மாசிரியர்). This council is regeneration of Buddhist Scholarship traditions from the ages.
